Ray McGovern, who wrote the foreword for my book Remember the Liberty!, references congressman Devin Nunes’ efforts to expose the deep state. Here, we will consider the potential consequences of a chain of events that might become comparable to an unstoppable runaway train on its way down a mountain with many curves ahead. Will McGovern’s prediction that “all hell may break lose” come true?
(Nunes was also cited in that book for his efforts to expose truths about lbj’s cover-up of his treasons related to that attack).
McGovern’s article, first published in Consortiumnews.com and picked up by Lew Rockwell’s newsletter, sums up the current state of affairs vis-à-vis the “first of its kind” investigation of the Deep State and the actions of Devin Nunes which precipitated it:
“There is ample evidence that President Trump is afraid to run afoul of the Deep State functionaries he inherited. And the Deep State almost always wins. But if Attorney General Barr leans hard on the president to unfetter Nunes, IG Horowitz, Durham and like-minded investigators, all hell may break lose, because the evidence against those who took serious liberties with the law is staring them all in the face.
- On April 5, 2019, in the apparent belief he had a green light to go on the offensive, Nunes wrote that committee Republicans “will soon be submitting criminal referrals on numerous individuals involved … in the abuse of intelligence for political purposes. These people must be held to account to prevent similar abuses from occurring in the future.”
- On April 7, Nunes was even more specific, telling Fox News that he was preparing to send eight criminal referrals to the Department of Justice “this week,” concerning alleged misconduct during the Trump-Russia investigation, including leaks of “highly classified material” and conspiracies to lie to Congress and the FISA court. It seemed to be no-holds-barred for Nunes, who had begun to talk publicly about prison time for those who might be brought to trial.
- Except for Fox, the corporate media ignored Nunes’s explosive comments. The media seemed smugly convinced that Nunes’s talk of “referrals” could be safely ignored — even though a new sheriff, Barr, had come to town. And sure enough, now, three months later, where are the criminal referrals?
The MSM, having left the tenets of honest journalism behind long ago — beginning with the nascent CIA and its first-cousin Deep State, both being the spawn of the Military-Industrial-Congress Complex, destroyed the notion of “journalistic integrity” with a germ called Operation Mockingbird — has thus ensured that an entire population has become so divided that half of it has no idea of the pandemonium that is about to break out if Nunes’ predictions come true.
The mere thought that if what Fox News has been reporting for over two years — yet essentially unreported by other “MSM outlets” — results in prison terms for many of the formerly high-level government officials / “directors” of the Deep State, beggars the question of “what happens next?” When millions of people are suddenly given a shocking look at such a new “reality” the results will be highly unpredictable. And, potentially, just as highly explosive.
“How,” you may ask, “is this story related to the subjects covered by this blog?”
The answer is that during that nascent phase of the Deep State referenced above, Lyndon B. Johnson was a high-level facilitator of its most nefarious operations, as described at length in the four books I’ve written and many of the blog postings you will find in this blog’s archives. His earliest works were all completed in accordance with this role, beginning as a congressman in 1937, through his stolen 1948 senate election and into the 1960s (when he became the CEO of the Deep State on July 15th of that year) through the 1963 coup de e’tat and all of the treasons to follow until 1969 when he finally left office.
From his involvement in the murder of James Forrestal in 1949, to his bull-headed pursuit of wartime financial dividends (i.e., “operation Vietnam”) to his effort to win another landslide reelection (i.e. his plan to achieve that through the false-flag attack on the USS Liberty), and sponsorship of the 1960s assassinations of JFK, MLK, RFK — and finally, that of pacifist monk Thomas Merton on December 10, 1968 — he was “front and center” through all of it (unlike any other man variously accused of any of them).
The Clintons have both acknowledged that “everything they ever learned” about politics was based upon their study of Lyndon Johnson’s political expertise. There is no question that all of the others who are now terrified at the possibility of their impending imprisonment were similarly invested, wittingly or not, in the LBJ School of Political Manipulation.
One could even persuasively argue that Lyndon B. Johnson — if not the father of the Deep State — was undoubtedly one of the founding members, even the Godfather, long before he became its Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
